Thank-you for the opportunity to present my services to you! Like all chefs, I have always had a passion for food! Some of my most treasured memories include baking holiday favorites with my family, sautéing fish at the lake shore on a cool spring morning, trips to the farmers market for roasted green chili to make a pot of simmering stew. I remember an amazing day picking blackberries for jam, until my fingers & lips were blue! I have always loved to create sensational food for family & friends, party of 2 or 50, just simply delicious & enjoyable food! But the satisfying joy of making & serving food for everyone came to a screening halt, when my son was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which is a complete intolerance to gluten. This water insoluble protein is found in cereal grains that make up so much of the American diet. I was compelled to find a resolution to this dietary dilemma for my son & possibly for others as well. I found my solution & a new perspective on eating & serving food, at the Nutrition Therapy Institute, in Denver, CO. Their philosophy of food is proactive, where holistic nutrition and cooking healing foods is the ultimate foundation in creating an energetic, vital life. I have strong commitment to a gluten-free lifestyle & to those that MUST or choose to be gluten-free. I’d love to share my passion for making healthful dishes & my recipes with you!
